Joining Lodge Thistle No. 127

You do not need to know a Freemason to enquire. Here is what happens, step by step, when you get in touch.

Membership

Friendship, tradition and helping others

Lodge Thistle brings men together through friendship, shared traditions and charitable work in our community. Whether you are ready to explore membership or simply have a few questions, get in touch for an informal conversation. There is no obligation to apply.

We received our charter in 1771 and have been part of the town's life for more than 250 years. Today, our members continue that tradition through meetings, social events and charitable work.

Who can enquire?

Under the Grand Lodge of Scotland's membership guidance, enquiries are welcome from men aged 18 and over who believe in a Supreme Being and wish to join in good faith. Men of different faiths and backgrounds can enquire.

Costs

Membership involves costs and regular meetings, but you don't need to commit to anything to make an enquiry. We can explain the current fees, meeting schedule and what members typically take part in during an informal chat.

Questions

You do not need to know the terminology or have a family connection to Freemasonry. Tell us what you would like to know, and we will do our best to answer openly.
